A prayer app for couples helps two people keep praying for each other and for the people they love, together and apart. The Pray App doesn’t have a shared couple space, but each of you can keep your own prayer cards, tag each other, and pray through the same list on your own phones.

How can couples pray together?

Couples can pray together by setting a short, regular time, like after dinner or before bed, and taking turns praying a few sentences. Pray for each other by name, for your home, and for the people on your hearts, then thank God together. It doesn’t need to be long or polished. A few minutes, kept up week after week, matters more than a perfect prayer.

What does the Bible say about praying together?

The Bible shows that praying together is a gift. Jesus said, “If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matthew 18:19-20, ESV). “A threefold cord is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12, ESV).

Paul’s words to every believer apply at home too: “Love one another with brotherly affection… Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer” (Romans 12:10-12, ESV).

What should couples pray for?

Couples can pray for the same things the Bible teaches every Christian to pray for, close to home:

What if praying together feels awkward?

Praying together often feels awkward at first, and that’s normal. Start with short prayers, even one sentence each. Pray the Lord’s Prayer together (Matthew 6:9-13). Read a Psalm aloud and pray from it. If one of you is more comfortable praying out loud, let that person start, and keep it simple. See how to pray when you don’t know what to say.

How can couples use The Pray App?

Couples can each use The Pray App on their own phones. Make a prayer card for your spouse: tap New prayer card, write the prayer, and add them under Praying for from your contacts. Set Repeat to Daily so you pray for each other every day.

To pray through the same list, one of you writes it with one request per line and texts it to the other, and you each paste it with Have a list?. Set a card to Weekly on the night you pray together. After you pray, the summary lists who you prayed for, and the message button opens Messages with “Hi Sam, I prayed for you today.” ready to send.

Is The Pray App right for you?

The Pray App fits couples who want to keep praying for each other and their family through the week, each on their own iPhone. It doesn’t have a shared couple account or a joint list that updates on both phones. If you want a simple, Scripture-centered way for each of you to remember who to pray for, it works well side by side.
